Boom Soup

Named for the BOOM that happened when I added the frozen beef to the oil…LOL. Totally contrary to everything your mom taught you about cooking. Most ingredients added frozen.

1 KL ground beef

1 chopped onion, sautéed

1 tomato

6 cups beef stock – homemade

6 cups water

700 g frozen mixed veggies

Salt and pepper to taste

1-2 tsp paprika

1-2 TBSP garlic powder

1-2 TBSP Basil

1-2 TBSP Fenugreek leaves (or parsley if you don’t have Fenugreek)

Heat a few TBSP of olive oil in a big soup pot. Throw in ground beef, yes, mine was frozen, big no-no, didn’t really matter. Sautee your onion while you are browning your beef. Nope, I didn’t drain anything, left that ole grease there and just started adding stuff. When the meat is brown, put in your stock and water and then all the other ingredients. Cook until all is hot. Serve. Don’t tell anyone you didn’t defrost everything first. LOL
